I almost gave this place a good review. but alas, the 'lovely' restaurant gave me terrible stomach cramps after a chowder, and my room was unbearably noisy, right over the bar. would it have killed them to give me a complimentary upgrade for my troubles? very disappointing experience, to say the least.

We stayed for 1 night in a Standard Hotel Room, and I absolutely loved the scenic views of the green hills and the peaceful atmosphere surrounding us. The restaurant by the river served an amazing seafood chowder, which was definitely a highlight of our meal. While the dining experience was mostly delightful, we did notice the service was a bit slow during peak hours. Perhaps a little more attention to room maintenance, like addressing some lingering cobwebs, would help enhance the overall experience.

Family time at this lovely spot was great! We enjoyed the beautiful hiking trails alongside the river and the kids loved the greenery surrounding the hotel. Plus, our dog had a blast! The Smokehouse Restaurant was truly a gem with fabulous food, highly recommend it.

My wife said that traffic noise was a bit distracting.

great value for money and a wonderful location surrounded by stunning green hills. the staff was extremely friendly, especially sylvia in the bar restaurant, who made us feel welcome right away. we loved having a room with a small balcony, it was perfect for enjoying the lovely views and fresh breeze at night.
